No rain this morning (shocker!) so I ran out and hoed and weeded and trellised and succession sowed like a mad woman for two hours. (Wanted to get back inside before the sun got high enough to make things hot.) The garden is late but looking good. We’re already eating radishes. Lettuce shouldn’t be too far behind.
You can see almost the entire back yard in this shot. (I was on my painting ladder beside the patio.) All that’s missing is the little strip to the right where the chicken coop sits. The white box in the upper left corner is my beehive. The black plastic is just there to dry off so that I can refold it and put it away. It had been over the back half of the garden to keep the spring monsoon off they clayey pig-end of the garden before we plowed.
